Washington Square Park Area Restaurants

Greenwich Village’s Washington Square Park encompasses almost 10 acres. Its location adjacent to NYU makes the park both a popular hangout and a great place for foodies. Visitors to Washington Square Park can eat at one of the many restaurants in the area.

If you want to grab a quick latte and a pastry, you’re in luck; just cross the street to visit Starbucks or Oren’s Daily Roast. Other coffee shops within a block or two include Mille-Fuellie Bakery and Café, Think Coffee, Third Rail Coffee and CafeTiny Organic Coffee Shop.

If you’re craving a slice or a whole pie, head to Otto Enoteca Pizzaria. Just one block north of the park, this upscale, but still casual, eatery serves a range of pizza, pasta and starters using both traditional and unusual ingredients, from octopus to chickpeas, roasted beets to artichokes, as well as a vast selection of cheeses. Ben's Pizzeria, Fav II Pizza and Francesco Pizza are also nearby.

Just one block from the park, Cafetasia serves Thai-inspired cuisine, while SushiYawa offers a selection of sushi and other Japanese favorites. Other Asian restaurants within a few blocks include Apple Restaurant and BomBar, Galanga, Beyond Thai, Curry Kitchen and the Kati Roll Company.
